How much will I expect to pay?
All of our cakes are individually designed so price can vary, as a guide cupcakes are priced from $4 each; 2 tier cakes from $400; 3 tier cakes from $600 and 4 tier cakes from $800. Delivery to most of Melbourne is free of charge.
What size cake do I need?
The amount of cake you will require depends on the serving sizes required. Dessert size portions are twice the size of coffee size portions so knowing how you are serving the cake is very important to ensure you order the correct amount of cake. Below are approximate portion guides for the most popular sized cakes.
7"+10" round=80 coffee size portions and 40 dessert size portions
7"+10" square=100 coffee size portions and 50 dessert size portions
6"+8"+10" round=120 coffee size portions 60 dessert size portions
6"+8"+10" square=150 coffee size portions 75 dessert size portions
6"+9"+12" round=150 coffee size portions 75 dessert size portions
6"+9"+12" square=200 coffee size portions 100 coffee size portions
Cutting cake is also available when larger amounts of cake are required, $2.50 per person for coffee size portions and $5 per person for dessert size portions.
How do I order?
Please call or email Alison to arrange an obligation free complimentary cake tasting and design consultation at our studio in Yarra Glen in the Yarra Valley. After this meeting you will be provided with a detailed outline of your cake requirements and a quote. To confirm the order and book in the date a 50% deposit is required. A minimum of 2 weeks before the delivery date the final payment is required.
How long are consultations and do I need to bring anything with me?
Cake tasting and design consultations take approximately 45 minutes. To help with the design process it is helpful to bring along any ideas you may already have for your cake. Pictures of your dress, the bridesmaids dresses, flowers, venue photos, invitations and table decorations may also help in the design of your perfect cake. Alternatively if you have a particular cake design in mind we can arrange all of the details via email and phone and the cake samples can be posted to you.
When do I order?
It is recommended to book a minimum of 1 month in advance for wedding cakes and 1 week in advance for special occasion cakes. We may sometimes be able to accommodate orders within a shorter time frame.
Can you deliver?
Delivery is free to all venues in the Yarra Valley, Melbourne CBD, northern suburbs, south eastern and eastern suburbs. Your cake will be delivered to your venue and assembled on the day of your event. Call to receive a quote if you require delivery outside this area.
How do we choose a design?
You can choose a design from the gallery, you can supply a picture of a design that you like or a cake can be designed for you using inspiration from various places including your invitations, wedding dress or flowers.
