Judd Wedding Cake 2010

On new years eve 2010 I was fortunate enough to make the wedding cake for Mr and Mrs Judd. The cake was a 4 tier white fan design chosen by Rebecca to compliment the style and theme of the wedding at Carousel, Albert Park.

Shortly after the big day I received this lovely email from Rebecca; Thank you soooooooo much. It looked absolutely incredible (breathtaking) and tasted even better! You wouldn’t believe how many comments I have received about how amazing both flavours are! Everybody is saying it is the best wedding cake they have ever tasted.

Thank-you Rebecca and Chris for allowing me to be a part of your big day.

Learn how to make perfect macaron’s during your one on one lesson at the Alison Louise Designer Cake studio in the Yarra Valley. Classes are held at a time to suit with a duration of 3 hours.

During the lesson you will:
-Make two batches of macaron’s, your choice of flavours
-Make a ganache filling
-Make a buttercream filling
-Tips and techniques from mixing to piping and cooking the perfect macaron

Wedding Cake-1956

I recently recevied a card in the mail from my grandmother Margot, inside was a picture of her and my grandfather John on their wedding day in November 1956. The wedding cake in the photo was my great grandmothers 1st attempt at decorating a cake!
